SFPCG Joins 2010 San Francisco Marathon

San Francisco, California -- The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco  joined some 24,000 runners in the 32nd  San Francisco Marathon held last Sunday, 25 July at the Embarcadero district near the Ferry Building of the famous City by the Bay.

Deputy Consul General Wilfredo Santos, together with Consul Alfonso Ver, Vice Consul Leah Rodriguez, Mr. Rene Cornista and Ms. Rose Narvaja Cornista, joined the 5K/Progressive Race while Mr. John Jiao and Mr. Gabriel Agcaoili of the DOT Office in San Francisco participated in the longer 21 K Half Marathon.

All of the SFPCG marathon participants finished their respective races and received commemorative medals for their effort. The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco has been actively involved in this annual marathon, having participated in previous years. The San Francisco Marathon is a USA Track and Field-certified course and is a Boston Marathon qualifying race.
